The 2nd Chance

We needed to end some contracts during the massive layoff, primarily because of the expensive benefits packages of people with a contract. However, we noticed that many people still wanted to be engaged with the company’s projects and people. We received many emails asking for updates and job applications from former employees. Hence, we decided to open a Club, invite all the affected people, and list the main projects they were working on.

The Club is simple but powerful. It is a collaborative workspace designed by the human resource department of Simplifika for former employees or anyone who likes our tech solution and wants to contribute to us. Each month we added more and more projects, which deliver not only recurrent updates about their evolution but also quests, endeavors to be completed, for 2nd Chance members. The best part is once a former professional concludes a quest, the Club retributes with Club´s tokens, so there are no free lunches here. Probably, you may be asking if the updates and tasks are relevant to the project and not the lesser priority of the team. The answer is yes, as Project Managers manage each undertaking inside the Club, so rest assured that it will be like still working in your area.

Initially, it took time, but when the word-of-mouth spread, the Club got famous, and the community grew. For many people, the Simplifika’s Club is a 2nd chance to work with us.
